Glass Beadmaking with Torch

Just a little blog about glass beadmaking with a torch and oxygen.  With the torch I melt glass from Italy into various items.  Beads for jewelry or beads for finials, appetizer knives, spoon handles, whatever.  After melting into the shape wanted, the bead is placed into a kiln.  In the kiln it starts at 950 degrees and then ramps down to room temperature in about 8 hours.  Then you have your bead!

Shown above is my Beaver Island studio torch and ventilation system.  And some glass rods are shown.

Every bead is a glass creation!
