Abstracta Modular System for sale

Update March 2017:  Abstracta Modular Display Case For Sale:

Abstracta Unit for sale in great condition!  This display case is about 8 years old and used about 3 times. I retired and decided not to do big shows.

The system is in a “u” shape with one side about 83.6 inches long, rounding to the other side which is about 65 inches long. The highest section on one end is about 78 inches.  The other end section is about 76 inches tall.  See photo of the set up and photo of the system in use at a show.  I think of it as Tinker Toys – remember those?!

It is a 13 mm chrome, matte black system with tempered glass. There are a couple missing glass pieces which can be replaced.  All the tools needed to put the system together are included.  Asking price is $1000, pick up in Ann Arbor MI.  Shipping with all the glass panels would probably be quite expensive.

Abstracta® is a modular display system consisting of an open design so simple, so elegant, that it accentuates any product. It’s clean, contemporary lines lend themselves to unlimited designs and environments.

It blends with any decor and fits into any space and is used by architects, designers and visual merchandisers worldwide. This modular display system is ideal for retail stores, office buildings and tradeshows.

Danish architect Poul Cadovius created and perfected the Abstracta tube and connector system in the early 1960’s in Copenhagen.

The system was the first of its kind to allow the modular construction of simple and complex structural shapes, quickly and easily.

Based on a 13mm or 1/2 inch connections, this modular system is lightweight, versatile and attractive. Because it can easily be dismantled and transported this system meets the dynamic needs of retail stores, trade shows and art galleries. The slim profile also works well for many permanent installations including the home.
